The stunning new addition to the Marshfield Senior Center presents a once in a lifetime opportunity for a major fundraising project. The Adopt-A-Room program presents a chance for donors to make a major impact to, and leave a lasting marker in the Marshfield Senior Center. The Marshfield COA Boosters are a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the sole purpose of raising funds to support programs, supplies and equipment for the Marshfield Senior Center that are not part of the yearly COA budget appropriated by the Town of Marshfield.

Every room in the addition has been assigned an historic name, representing the nine villages of our town and other landmarks. Rooms are also marked for their function, such a library, exercise, game room etc. Donor can choose a location in town significant to them or perhaps the rooms function has more meaning. For a major donation ranging from $2,500, $5,000 to $10,000, a brass name plate will be placed in the room with your personal message to recognize your contribution and acknowledgement of major support to the Marshfield COA Boosters.   The bottom of every name plate will contain the words” in appreciation for a donation to the COA Boosters.”

Five rooms, of the sixteen available, have already been adopted. This is a continuing program, and we hope that that members of the community will consider Adopt-A-Room when estate planning and that professional and business owners will show their lasting support for the senior community by donating to a room.  Perhaps a group of interested residents in a specific location in Marshfield might join together to adopt the room named for that special place in town— for example: Rexhame, SeaView, or Marshfield Hills.

Look on our web site  for more details, under the Donate menu. Our Adopt-A-Room program represents a major monetary commitment and Suzanne Allmendinger, Booster President, and Carol Hamilton, COA Director, are happy to meet with prospective donors, arrange a tour of the addition and work on a suitable engraved name plate to recognize this donation.
