WHO ARE THE MARSHFIELD COA BOOSTERS?
We are a group of people— 600+ strong, men and women who care about seniors, senior issues and the Marshfield COA Senior Center. The Booster organization was formed out of the need to provide equipment and furnishings, supplies and programs to the Marshfield Senior Center—items beyond what the funding
provided by the annual COA town budget will support. The Boosters fill in the gaps with financial resources raised from membership dues and fundraisers. Most members live in Marshfield, but 31 other towns are also represented, not including winter addresses of our members. Age of our members range from the forties through the nineties with an average age in the mid-seventies. Interests vary from health, exercise, nutrition, safety, dance, personal care, hobbies, arts and crafts, discussion groups, cards and games, legal and financial advice, social services, enrichment classes, technology, transportation, current events, memory loss, special interest such as Veterans, Parkinson’s etc. and often simply for socialization and comradery.
BE A BOOSTER
· You don’t have to live in Marshfield
· You don’t have to be 60+ years old
· You just have to care about seniors, their issues, and the Marshfield Senior Center.
